Speedaware Twighlight Sprint, 11th Nov 2010

Evo vs WRX Round 4, 27th Sept 2010

What a good event.  It was good to get back in the car after a few months away getting my ‘motorsport mojo’ back.  The ultimate results was not the greatest but there was improvement and it was good to get confidence in my driving and the car throughout the day. 

Thanks to the Impreza WRX Owners Club of WA, Automotive Events Management and the helpers on the day for making it happen.

ASP Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally  21 0 23 May 2010

It was disappointment that we had to announce a DNF for this event.  The car had a mechanical failure on the Sunday morning.  Whilst we did not know it at the time the front transfer case failed during the 2nd stage on the Sunday morning. 

Whilst ultimately the result was not what either of us were after there were a number of positives that could be taken away from the weekend.

Many thanks to Tony, Mark, Scott, Anna and my parents for the support provided throughout the weekend.  Your input throughout the weekend made it the event more enjoyable for us.

We are now both keen to have another crack and finish this event next year!

Targa Wrest Point  30 –31 Jan 2010

What a brilliant event.  After a less than ideal lead up we are please to say that we finished the event safely in  55th outright from 160 entrants and 22nd in class.

Thanks go to the fellows from Japanese Wholesale Spares who helped us out during the weekend.  We enjoyed the challenge of a number of the ‘old’ Targa Tasmania stages as well as the hospitality of the southern part of Tasmania. 

This event has now whetted our appetite for the big one.  We’re now very keen to go compete in Targa Tasmania 2011

Mount Buller Sprint 4—6 December 2009

So The 2009 Mount Buller Sprint has been run and won (not by us though).  It is with excitement and relief that we can say that we finished the event safely! Whilst our official finishing position of 46th may not reflect our successes over the weekend we are both happy with our respective performances, what we learnt over the course of the event and in awe of the commitment of the top teams. 

Many thanks to go to Franz and Steph who were for the weekend providing support.  All our sponsors who helped us get all the way over to Mt Buller and all the competitors who made it such a great event.

.Targa West 20 –23 August 2009

It is with relief that I’d like to congratulate Franz Esterbauer and Ivan Tan on a successful Targa West Tarmac Rally.  Whilst the final results do not detail the successes of the weekend it was a solid result for their first event.

Thanks also need to go to the team at Tokyo Motorsport who prepared the car in the lead up and provided service over the weekend.
